Sainsbury’s Connected Communities

Making a positive difference

To help celebrate Sainsbury’s 150th birthday and support local communities, we created a portal for Sainsbury’s colleagues to register, submit, and or apply volunteering opportunities within their local communities.



Working as part of a Scrum team, the system included an admin interface allowing Sainsbury’s colleagues to view volunteering opportunities, submit their own volunteering ideas based in their local communities. With a number of community-led initiatives, Our Community acts as the hub for all things community across Sainsbury’s Group.
